Management team

  • Ivan Valchev – Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director, with more than 12 years of experience in the banking system as a securities dealer, having worked for Postbank Bulgaria and the Bulgarian National Bank.
  • Tsanko Kolovski – executive director with more than 15 years of banking experience, 8 of which as an executive director of Investbank Bulgaria and Invest Fund Management.
  • Rosen Nikolov – Member of the Board of Directors with some 25 years of experience in finance and banking. His experience is connected to portfolio and risk management for Postbank and companies from the Vienna Insurance Group. His active cooperation with institutions such as EBRD and the World Bank has taken him to emerging markets in Europe, Asia and Africa, where he has worked for the strengthening of the deposit insurance schemes and financial crisis management systems and problematic banks solution schemes in Serbia, Kosovo, Belarus, Turkey, Uganda, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
  • Lyubomir Stefanov– Member of the Board of Directors with more than 10 years of business and new markets development experience in companies, including Flamings, Framlignton Investment Management LTd., Informa PLC and Adam Smith Institute. With Adam Smith he is responsible for the financial markets in Russia and some commonwealth countries such as Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. He holds a Banking and Financial Services Management degree from Leicester University, UK.
  • Yasen Georgiev – member of the Board of Directors, having been a part of MK Brokers’ team since 2008.
  • Nikolay M. Vanyov, CFA – Member of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, Investments and Trading, with more than 15 years of experience in trading and investment services, starting from analyst and dealer with Investbak, moving through FX and fixed income trader at DSK Bank to becoming deputy head of the Trading Department at the latter. He holds a Business Administration in International Finance and Accounting from the International Business Scholl of the Hanze University, Groningen, the Netherlands, with a specialization in International Financial Markets and Instruments at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
